Chanukah 2021

Kislev 5782

Dear friends and family,

Although it is not Pesach, I want to ask a question. Why is this Chanukah different from all other Chanukahs?
Answer: Unfortunately, it is not different at all for the girls at Bayit V’Tikvah.

In Israel, Chanukah is one of the most beautiful holidays for children. They have winter break, go on family trips, and enjoy lots of parties and presents. Our girls have been removed from their homes by child welfare services due to serious abuse and neglect, they are in our home the entire time. Unfortunately, they do not go home to their families, and they do not have the special Chanukah memories that many of us cherish.
This means that not only is our staff not off, but we hire additional staff to run trips, organize parties and provide an enjoyable Chanukah for all our girls. This is all paid for out of pocket, as child welfare services does not provide funds for these activities. The pressure of expanding our budget to include additional Chanukah programming is a big challenge. Our goal is to provide our girls with the most beautiful parties, trips and presents and help them grow have “normal” Chanukah experiences.
Please partner with us to give our girls a wonderful Chanukah.

Would you please help us?
Below is a list of suggestions to enhance our girls Chanukah. Please consider sponsoring a present for a few girls, or perhaps a Chanukah party for 15 girls, or a Chanukah party for all the girls.

Please support our Chanukah campaign in whatever way you can!

In the merit of your helping our girls, may you and your family truly be blessed with all of Hashem’s blessings.
From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for your generosity.
Sincerely and with great appreciation,

Fondly,
